Unveiling the Grenadier Quartermaster: A Pinnacle of Off-Road Excellence by INEOS Automotive
In a momentous stride, the Grenadier Quartermaster double cab pick-ups have commenced series production at the INEOS Automotive facility in Hambach, France. Anticipation is on the rise as deliveries to European customers are slated to begin this December, followed closely by shipments to the Asia Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. North American sales for the Quartermaster are scheduled to kick off in early 2024.

1. Embarking on Off-Road Journeys:
Named as a tribute to the senior military officer overseeing the supply and distribution of provisions, the five-seat double cab Quartermaster was intricately developed alongside the Grenadier Station Wagon. Both vehicles share the production line in Hambach, France, representing a seamless fusion of innovation and design.

The Quartermaster made its debut at the renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, capturing attention with its unmatched off-road capabilities and heightened load-carrying versatility in comparison to the Station Wagon.

2. Tested and Approved:
Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive, expressed enthusiasm as production commenced, sharing insights from her personal experiences testing a late prototype in Spain and the African bush. Calder emphasized the Quartermaster's peerless off-road performance, blending rugged capability with refined execution and featuring a capacious load bay capable of accommodating diverse kit and cargo.

3. Technical Excellence:
True to its name, the Quartermaster inherits critical components from the Station Wagon, including a full box-section ladder frame chassis, heavy-duty solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and the option for up to three locking differentials. The powertrain offers a choice between BMW's 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines, delivering power to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

4. Size and Versatility:
As the largest model in the Grenadier lineup, the Quartermaster boasts an extended 3227mm wheelbase, providing an additional 305mm compared to the Station Wagon. This extension results in a versatile load bay with a remarkable payload capacity of up to 760kg, effortlessly accommodating a standard 1200mm x 800mm Euro pallet.

5. Future Prospects:
Looking forward, a chassis cab model, utilizing the same frame as the Quartermaster pick-up, is scheduled for production in 2024. This variant is tailored for conversion specialists and commercial body builders, expanding the horizon of customization possibilities.

INEOS Automotive's commitment to excellence is underscored by the acquisition of the Hambach manufacturing facility from Mercedes-Benz in January 2021. The comprehensive support for Grenadier line production includes a new semi-automated paintshop, a fully automated bodyshop, and a state-of-the-art quality center.

The Grenadier Quartermaster emerges as a remarkable off-road marvel, seamlessly fusing military-inspired design with cutting-edge automotive engineering. Stay tuned as this exceptional vehicle readies itself to navigate global terrains, redefining adventure on four wheels.
